About Dr. Hasan Al-Husseini

Dr. Hasan Al-Husseini is a prominent Bahraini Islamic preacher, researcher, and thinker, born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on August 23, 1976. Although a Bahraini national residing in Muharraq, his lineage traces back to Herat, Afghanistan, and he is a descendant of Hussein ibn Ali. He follows the Shafi'i school of thought. Dr. Al-Husseini began his education at the Azhar Religious Institute in Bahrain before earning a Bachelor's degree in Sharia from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University (UAE branch). He pursued postgraduate studies, obtaining a Master's degree in Islamic History and Thought with a thesis on the history of Bahrain, followed by a PhD in Hadith studies focusing on the Prophet's family (Ahl al-Bayt) and his Companions. Alongside his academic qualifications, he holds numerous Ijazahs (licenses with an unbroken chain of transmission) in the Qur'an and Hadith. Dr. Al-Husseini has a significant media presence, having hosted several religious and historical television programs, including "Ayam Omar," "Badr Al-Tamam," and "Sahwat Bahrain." He also produces educational series for his digital platforms, such as "Al-Arba'un Al-Bukhariyya" (The 40 Hadith of Bukhari) and "Ayam Khalid" (The Days of Khalid). He is also active in civil society and politics as a co-founder of the Al-Asalah Political Society, the Bahraini Family Society, and a member of the "Aal wa Al-Ashab" Society.

Dr. Hasan Al-Husseini's Achievements

Dr. Al-Husseini has served as a religious and historical consultant for major historical television dramas, most notably for the 2011 series "Al-Hassan wa Al-Hussein" and the 2017 series "Al-Imam," which chronicled the life of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal. In this capacity, he was responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the religious and historical content. He has authored several documented scholarly books and encyclopedias. His most significant work is the "Mawsu'at Al-Hassan wa Al-Hussein" (The Encyclopedia of Al-Hassan and Al-Hussein), a scientific reference on their lives. Other publications include "Saba'ik Al-Bukhari" and "Saba'ik Al-Ad'iyah," aimed at making Islamic sciences more accessible to the general public. Dr. Al-Husseini is a founding member of influential civil and political bodies in Bahrain, including the Al-Asalah Political Society and the Bahraini Family Society. He is also an active member of the Sharia Scholars Association in the Gulf, reflecting his role in public affairs alongside his scholarly and preaching activities.

Education

He holds a PhD in Hadith Studies, a Master's degree in Islamic History and Thought, and a Bachelor's degree in Sharia from the College of Sharia at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University (UAE branch). He completed his primary, preparatory, and secondary education at the Azhar Religious Institute in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
