About Mohamed Alselini (Rahalista)

Mohamed Alselini, widely known as "Rahalista," is a Libyan documentary filmmaker and traveler from Benghazi, recognized as one of the most prominent travel content creators in the Arab world. Despite holding a master's degree in civil engineering, the economic and political situation in Libya prompted him to change his career path. He began his content creation journey in late 2017, focusing on documenting the cultures, customs, and traditions of people globally through a unique storytelling approach. Rahalista's content is distinguished by its focus on unconventional destinations and deep human stories. He has visited over 50 countries, documenting his experiences in places rarely reached by Arab content creators, such as North Korea, which he entered to participate in a marathon, and remote African tribes. Early in his career, he faced significant challenges due to the limitations of his Libyan passport, which led him to focus on visa-free or visa-on-arrival countries. He viewed these difficulties as an opportunity to discover culturally rich destinations. In 2022, he obtained a second passport from a Caribbean nation, granting him greater freedom of movement and enabling him to produce more professional content.
