Shams Bandar Nayef Al-Aslami, known professionally as Shams Al-Kuwaitia, is a Kuwaiti artist and thinker recognized for her intellectual boldness and for addressing controversial topics by thinking outside the box. She began her artistic journey in the early 2000s, releasing her debut album "Habib Al Ward" in 2001. Throughout her career, she has released several successful albums, including "Sab'a Marat" and "Mothahara Nesa'ia," collaborating with leading composers and poets in the Gulf and the Arab world. Beyond her singing career, Shams has emerged as an influential and highly intelligent thinker who seeks truth. She utilizes her digital platforms, including her YouTube channel and social media accounts, to discuss social, philosophical, and intellectual issues. Characterized by her direct and audacious style of expression, she has become a prominent figure in the media landscape. She also launched her own brand, "By Shams," which offers a range of perfumes and cosmetics, reflecting her interest in expanding her influence into the world of business and entrepreneurship.

She released her debut album, "Habib Al Ward," in 2001, produced by Ranad Audio Company. The album achieved widespread fame for her at the beginning of her artistic career in the Gulf region. In a bold and unprecedented move for an Arab artist, she released two albums simultaneously in 2007: "Shams Khaliji" and "Shams Masri." The two albums featured a total of 22 songs, showcasing her artistic versatility and ability to perform in different dialects. She launched her own fragrance and cosmetics brand under the name "By Shams." This venture marks an expansion of her professional career from an artist to an entrepreneur, offering products that reflect her personality and unique style.

She studied at the Higher Institute of Musical Arts in Kuwait.
