Yara Abou Monsef is a Lebanese content creator, actress, and social activist who has emerged as a multi-talented public figure blending comedy, acting, and humanitarian work. Born on May 31, 1996, she built her career upon a distinguished scientific background, holding a Master's degree in Animal Biology and Molecular Diagnostics. Monsef first gained widespread popularity through her entertaining content on social media, where she uses comedy to address various social and cultural topics. In 2022, Yara transitioned into acting with her role as 'Reem' in the film "Wala Ghalta," showcasing her artistic capabilities to a broader audience. Alongside her artistic pursuits, she is known for her deep commitment to social causes. She is a vocal advocate for women's empowerment and actively promotes awareness of Lebanese Sign Language, which she speaks fluently. Monsef leverages her platform to support humanitarian initiatives, such as campaigns aiding displaced people and refugees in Lebanon, and collaborates with organizations like World Vision. Yara Abou Monsef was named the second runner-up in the Miss Lebanon 2018 pageant. She was distinguished by her quick wit and educated answers, earning her significant national respect. In 2022, Meta selected her as one of the MENA region's "Creators of Tomorrow," an initiative recognizing emerging talents who are building communities and exploring innovative content formats. This highlighted her role as a leading figure in the regional digital landscape. She has participated in major campaigns with global brands, notably appearing in a Pepsi commercial in Lebanon in 2022 and taking part in Samsung's promotional campaign for the S24 Ultra in June 2024, reflecting her significant influence in digital marketing. Monsef has launched significant humanitarian initiatives, including a September 2024 campaign to provide housing for displaced people in Lebanon affected by conflict. She also notably supported YouTuber AboFlah's UNHCR fundraising campaign for refugees by donating her entire monthly social media income to the cause.
She completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Animal Biology at the Lebanese University (2014-2018). She also earned a double diploma in Bio-Health Engineering and Molecular Diagnostics from Grenoble Alpes University and the Lebanese University (2018-2019).
