Talal Mahmoud Al-Samdan, known professionally as Talal Sam, is a multi-talented Kuwaiti artist born on October 16, 1998. He began his career at a young age, first appearing in television commercials before transitioning to theater and acting. He gained prominence as an influential content creator on social media, hosting diverse programs like his YouTube series "Khabaia," where he explored various topics in an engaging manner, and the popular podcast "Arika," which he co-hosted with Baby Abdulmohsen. Talal's creativity extends beyond content creation into the world of music, where he has demonstrated a talent for songwriting and composition. He started by performing covers of famous songs before releasing his own original work in both Arabic and English, including tracks like "Qonbola" and "Helween" from his debut album "El Wa'ad Guddam" (The Promise is Ahead). In acting, he has participated in several notable theatrical productions, playing lead roles in plays such as "Sinbad the Sailor" and "Nothing Is Ever Like Zain," solidifying his status as a comprehensive artist in the Kuwaiti and Gulf art scene.
Talal Sam began his artistic journey at the age of eleven through television commercials, which led to his participation in significant theatrical works like "Super R" (2013) and "Kawkab Fattoum" (2014) at a young age, showcasing his notable acting talent. He achieved significant success in digital content creation with his YouTube show "Khabaia" and the podcast "Arika" in collaboration with Baby Abdulmohsen. These projects earned him a wide fanbase across the Gulf region. In theater, Talal has taken on leading roles in successful plays, most notably as the title character in "Sinbad the Sailor" in 2024 and a key role in "Nothing Is Ever Like Zain" in 2023. He also participated in the play "The Wedding" (2023) and lent his voice to the animated film "Al Mahatt" (2021). He released his debut music album, "El Wa'ad Guddam" (The Promise is Ahead), featuring the song "Helween." This established him as a talented singer-songwriter, following his earlier success with popular singles like "Qonbola" and covers of international songs. He also collaborated with artist Amy Roko on the song "Aadi."
He graduated from Portland State University in the United States with a bachelor's degree in Marketing.
