Ala Hamdan is a Palestinian-Jordanian filmmaker and visual storyteller, born in Jerusalem on April 6, 1988. She moved with her family to Jordan during her early years, where she is now based. Hamdan studied filmmaking and screenwriting at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Florence and New York, and also pursued Spanish language studies, earning a scholarship to the University of Granada. Hamdan is known for her compelling visual narrative style, focusing on humanitarian and social justice issues such as women's rights, domestic violence, and child labor. She is the co-founder of At Films, a media production and training company through which she has collaborated with major international organizations including the UN, UNDP, and brands like Adidas and LG. Hamdan hosted "Cinerama," a TV program on Jordan's Roya TV, designed to provide accessible filmmaking tools to aspiring creators. Beyond her film work, she co-authored the Amazon best-selling book "Muslims of the World," which tells inspiring stories of Muslims from around the globe.
