May Yacoubi is a Palestinian-Egyptian chef, television personality, and entrepreneur who has successfully transformed her passion for cooking into an inspiring career in the Middle East. She began her journey as a food blogger, which captured the attention of the upscale supermarket chain Gourmet Egypt, leading to her appointment as a Consultant Chef. In this role, she was responsible for product development and managing a team of chefs. Combining her academic background in media with her culinary passion, Yacoubi holds a bachelor's degree in Media from the American University of Sharjah and a master's degree in Journalism from the American University in Cairo. She leveraged this expertise to launch her acclaimed television show, "May's Kitchen," which aired on prominent channels like Fatafeat and Food Network, achieving widespread success. She has also hosted other programs, including "May's Show" on the Al Qahera wa el nas channel. Beyond her television career, May Yacoubi has expanded into entrepreneurship by launching her own brand, ChefMay.com, an e-commerce platform specializing in high-quality, Egyptian-made kitchenware and homeware. Currently residing in Cairo with her husband, director Ahmed Kardous, and their two children, she continues to inspire her audience with innovative recipes and a distinctive media presence.
