Rasha Nabil is a prominent Egyptian journalist and television presenter with a rich career spanning major Egyptian and Arab television networks. She began her media journey at the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (Maspero), where she worked in various roles including editor, program producer, correspondent, and editor-in-chief, gaining comprehensive journalistic experience. She later moved to ONTV as a news anchor. Nabil's prominence grew significantly during her tenure at Dream TV, where she hosted the popular talk show "Kalam Tany" (Other Talk). The program achieved widespread success, leading to an increase in its weekly broadcasts due to popular demand. Following her successful period at Dream TV, she joined the Al Arabiya news channel. At Al Arabiya, she currently hosts political dialogue programs such as "Mahl Naqash" (Subject for Discussion). During her time there, she has conducted significant and controversial interviews, most notably her widely-covered interview with the former political bureau chief of Hamas, Khaled Mashal, which garnered international media attention. In addition to her television career, she made a cameo appearance as herself in the 2009 Egyptian film "One Zero."

Due to its popularity and impact, the channel's management decided in 2017 to increase its broadcast frequency from once a week to three times a week to meet audience demand. She gained widespread international recognition for her bold and direct interview with Hamas leader Khaled Mashal on Al Arabiya in October 2023. Her confrontational questioning style during the interview captured the attention of global media outlets, who highlighted her professionalism in conducting a critical dialogue with a major political figure at a sensitive time.

Education

Rasha Nabil earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University in May 2000. She also prepared a preliminary master's thesis in political science on "The Role of Arab News Channels in Shaping the Political Orientations of Egyptian Public Opinion."
