Islam Sobhi is an Egyptian Quran reciter and religious munshid, born in the village of Melig, Menoufia Governorate, on September 25, 1998. He has emerged as one of the most prominent young voices in the Islamic world, uniquely balancing his academic pursuits as a student at the Faculty of Medicine, Menoufia University, with his profound talent for Quranic recitation. His journey began informally by recording his recitations and sharing them on social media, where his captivating voice and heartfelt style quickly gained widespread popularity. In July 2018, Sobhi launched his official YouTube channel, which became a primary platform for sharing his recitations and religious songs with a global audience. While influenced by renowned reciters such as Maher Al-Muaiqly, Mustafa Ismail, and Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, he developed his own distinct style that resonates strongly with the younger generation.
