Layal Alkhetiar is a prominent Lebanese journalist and television presenter who has established a significant presence in the Arab media landscape. She began her career at the Lebanese channel OTV, where she conducted political interviews between 2017 and 2018. In 2018, she moved to the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International (LBCI), where she prepared and presented news bulletins and co-hosted the popular morning show "Naharkom Said." In November 2020, Alkhetiar joined the US-based Al Hurra channel, presenting the program "The Lebanese Scene" until early 2022. In March of the same year, she embarked on a new chapter by joining Al Arabiya, where she became the main anchor for the evening news bulletin "Al-Tasia Hatha Al-Masaa" (Nine O'Clock This Evening). Known for her bold interviewing style and her coverage of complex political issues in the region, Alkhetiar has become an influential and well-regarded media figure. She is currently based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Throughout her career, Layal Alkhetiar has established herself as a leading political interviewer, anchoring major news programs on LBCI, Al Hurra, and Al Arabiya. Since March 2022, she has been the presenter of the main evening news bulletin, "Al-Tasia Hatha Al-Masaa," on Al Arabiya, a role that signifies the network's confidence in her journalistic capabilities. Alkhetiar has faced significant challenges for her journalistic work, most notably legal action and threats in Lebanon following an interview with an Israeli military spokesperson in October 2023. The incident sparked widespread debate, highlighting the risks journalists face in the region, while Al Arabiya defended her professionalism and her right to cover all sides of the story.

Layal Alkhetiar initially studied at the Faculty of Medicine, specializing in Radiology, and later studied Business Administration. Following her passion for media, she pursued media studies in London, which paved her way into the world of journalism and television.
