Mohamed Farouk, widely known as "King Misr," is a prominent Egyptian graffiti artist and digital content creator who has successfully merged his artistic talent with content creation to become a leading figure in his field. His passion for art began with mastering Arabic calligraphy during his preparatory school years, which later led him to a career in design and advertising after graduating from the Faculty of Information Systems. A pivotal moment in his career occurred when he was asked to draw the cartoon character "SpongeBob" on a kindergarten wall, where he discovered his true talent for graffiti. Farouk traveled to Saudi Arabia, where he honed his skills and created numerous distinctive murals for shop facades and cafes, earning him the nickname "King Misr." Upon returning to Egypt, he focused on transforming blank walls into vibrant works of art, often painting portraits of public figures and celebrities like Mohamed Salah, Mohamed Ramadan, and international athletes, frequently based on requests from his followers. Beyond his art, he produces diverse content on social media platforms, often featuring his children. His videos blend graffiti with family-friendly vlogs and challenges, which has earned him widespread popularity beyond the art community.
Mohamed Farouk achieved global recognition when one of his murals, a portrait of Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho, caught the star's personal attention. Ronaldinho expressed his admiration for the artwork in a private message to Farouk and subsequently followed him on Instagram, giving him significant international validation. "King Misr" has built a strong media presence in Egypt, appearing on prominent television channels such as ONTime Sports and Sada Elbalad. During these appearances, he showcased his live drawing skills and discussed his artistic journey, solidifying his status as one of Egypt's most famous graffiti artists. Beyond his street art, Farouk has successfully built a media empire on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, where he presents content that merges graffiti art with family life. This unique strategy has established him not only as a celebrated artist but also as an influential content creator with a massive following.
Mohamed Farouk graduated from the Faculty of Information Systems.
