Originally an engineer from Alexandria, he launched his comedy career around 2016. He quickly gained popularity for his witty and audacious comedic style, which often tackles social and relational topics, resonating deeply with a broad audience. In 2018, Helmy founded his own production company, HelmyMan Events, to produce and organize comedy shows. Through his company, he introduced innovative formats to the region, such as "The Roast League," a series of comedy roast battles, and the fully improvisational "Crowd Gigs" format. He also co-hosts the show "Sold Out" with fellow comedian Alaa El-Sheikh, which streams on the digital platform Watch IT. Helmy's influence extends globally with several successful international tours, including "Mama's Boy" and "Globally Local," which saw him perform in sold-out venues across Europe, the United States, and Canada.
