Muhammad Gawish is a prominent Egyptian entrepreneur in the EdTech sector, serving as the Co-Founder and CEO of iSchool. He co-founded iSchool in 2018 to bridge the technology education gap in the MENA region, offering live, gamified online classes in programming, artificial intelligence, data science, and game development for students aged 6 to 18. The idea for the platform was sparked during a trip to Japan where he witnessed young children outperforming adults in coding and robotics competitions, inspiring him to bring a similar educational model to the Arab world. Under his leadership, iSchool has become a leading platform in its field, educating over 131,000 students across more than 20 countries. The company has successfully secured significant funding, including a $4.5 million round in late 2023 led by Irish VC firm VentureWave Capital, aimed at global expansion with a base in Dublin. Prior to iSchool, Gawish worked as a Business and Growth Consultant, where he helped startups raise over $6.85 million in funding. Muhammad Gawish was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for the Middle East in 2022, recognizing his achievements in founding and scaling the EdTech platform iSchool. He received the prestigious Founder of the Year award at the Global Startup Awards in Africa, highlighting his leadership and impact on the continent's entrepreneurial ecosystem. He successfully led iSchool through multiple funding rounds, including an initial $160,000 from EdVentures in 2021, followed by a major $4.5 million round in 2023 from international investors to fuel expansion across the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2025, Gawish and his co-founder were selected to join the prestigious Endeavor Global Network. iSchool became the first Egyptian EdTech company and one of the youngest MENA entrepreneurs to join the network, achieving a full score in the international selection panel.

Muhammad Gawish holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Cairo University. He furthered his academic experience by studying Entrepreneurship and Business Management at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Additionally, he participated in the Innovation & Growth program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
