Raya Abirached is a prominent Lebanese-British television presenter, celebrity journalist, and producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential media personalities in the Arab world. She began her career as a journalist in Beirut before moving to the United Kingdom in 1999 to pursue higher education. She joined the MBC Group in 2003, quickly establishing herself as a leading television figure. Abirached is best known as the host of "Scoop with Raya," a weekly entertainment show on MBC2 that has been running since 2005. Through this program, she became the first Arab journalist to conduct one-on-one interviews with major Hollywood stars, musicians, and directors, covering prestigious events like the Oscars, Golden Globes, and the Cannes Film Festival. Since 2010, she has also co-hosted the highly successful reality competition show, "Arabs Got Talent," alongside Saudi rapper Qusai. Fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Italian, her multilingual skills have been a hallmark of her international appeal. In addition to her media career, Abirached is a dedicated humanitarian, appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR in April 2021. She currently resides in London with her husband, Italian sports journalist Valerio Cammarano, and their daughter, Lola.
