Balqees Fathi is an Emirati artist and entrepreneur of Yemeni descent, and the daughter of renowned Yemeni musician Ahmed Fathi. Born and raised in Abu Dhabi, she began her artistic journey at a young age and was granted Emirati citizenship in 2012. Her professional career took off in 2011, and she quickly established herself as a leading pop star in the Arab world after signing with Rotana Records. She released her debut album "Majnoun" in 2013, followed by the highly successful "Zai Ma Ana" in 2015, which became the most downloaded album on iTunes in the Middle East at the time. Fathi is celebrated for her versatile vocal ability, performing in various Arabic dialects and mastering opera in multiple languages.
