Maya Diab is a multi-talented Lebanese artist, born on November 12, 1980, in Achrafieh, Beirut. She has established herself as a prominent figure in the Arab entertainment industry as a singer, actress, television presenter, and fashion icon. Her career began at a young age when she won the gold medal for fashion at the renowned talent show "Studio El Fan" in 1996. In 2001, she joined the popular pop group "The 4 Cats," which catapulted her to widespread fame across the Arab world. With the group, she co-starred in the comedy film "Asad W Arbaa Kotat" (Lion and 4 Cats) in 2007. In 2010, Diab embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut single "Habibi" in 2011 to great acclaim, followed by her first album, "#MyMaya," in 2015. Parallel to her music career, she excelled as a television host, presenting several successful and high-rated shows. Notable programs include the musical entertainment show "Heik Menghanni" on MTV Lebanon, "Ask The Arabs" on MBC 1, and the Arabic version of "Deal or No Deal." She also took on acting roles in series like "Kalam Niswan" (2009) and "El Donia Heik" (2010). Known for her bold and innovative style, Diab is a celebrated fashion icon and has served as a brand ambassador for major international brands such as L'Oréal, Sony, and Make Up For Ever.
In 2020, the Arab Fashion Council officially named Maya Diab the "Fashion Icon of the Arab World." This title recognized her significant influence and trendsetting style that inspires many across the region. She inaugurated the 12th edition of Arab Fashion Week, cementing her status as a leading figure in the fashion industry. Maya Diab achieved remarkable success in television presenting, winning the award for Best Entertainment TV Presenter in 2012 for her popular show "Heik Menghanni." The program solidified her reputation as a charismatic and engaging host capable of leading major primetime shows. In a significant step for her international music career, Diab signed with Warner Music Middle East in 2023. Under this major label, she released the EP "#MyMayaV" in 2024, which showcases her signature blend of Arabic pop with contemporary global sounds, further expanding her reach.
