Khalid Saleh Alyafei is a prominent Qatari media personality and training consultant with a distinguished career spanning decades in broadcasting and human development. His media journey began in 1985 at the age of 21 when he joined Qatar Radio to present the weather forecast on the popular program "Watani Al Habib Sabah Al Khair." Two years later, he moved to Qatar Television, continuing his role as a weather presenter before shifting to producing and hosting science-focused programs like "Shabab wa Ulum Al Mustaqbal" (Youth and Future Sciences) and "Nafitha ala Al Ilm" (A Window to Science) until 1996. Alyafei was one of the first Qatari broadcasters to join Al Jazeera upon its launch, starting in January 1997 as a weather forecast presenter. Alongside his media career, he held significant positions in the environmental sector, including Director of the Environmental Media and Education Center at the Ministry of Environment. After an 11-year hiatus from academia while working in meteorology and environmental affairs, he returned to Qatar University to complete his degree in Computer Science. His growing interest in social and family issues led him to specialize in human and family development. Today, he is a certified trainer and consultant, delivering specialized courses and lectures across Qatar and the Gulf region. He also manages the Al Rashed Center for Human Development, offering consultancy and training programs focused on family counseling and personal growth.
