Mubarak Mohammed Al Hajri, born on September 24, 1963, is a prominent Qatari rally champion and businessman, considered a key figure in Middle Eastern motorsports. He began his racing career in 1981, securing fourth place in his debut at the "Salam Rallycross," which sparked his passion for the sport. In 1984, he transitioned to the role of co-driver (navigator), a position he professionally mastered by 1988, earning the nickname "The Human Compass" for his exceptional skills. Al Hajri has achieved significant success in the Middle East Rally Championship, reaching the podium as both a driver and co-driver. After a hiatus, he made a strong return to competition in the 2020 Qatar Cross-Country Rally. Beyond his decorated sports career, Al Hajri has built a vast business empire. He owns and manages a diverse portfolio of commercial and investment companies across the Arab world, including a firm involved in oil exploration. He is recognized as one of the region's leading investors and entrepreneurs with substantial assets. Since 2003, he has been married to the renowned Emirati singer Ahlam Al Shamsi, and they have three children: Fahed, Fatima, and Lulwa.
