Lamis Elhadidy is a prominent Egyptian journalist and media personality with a distinguished career spanning over three decades, establishing her as one of the most significant voices in Arab media. She began her career in the late 1980s, working as a desk producer for NBC's Cairo bureau in 1987, followed by a three-year stint as a stringer for The New York Times. In 1991, she co-founded "Al Alam Al Youm," Egypt's first daily business newspaper, later becoming the chief executive officer of its weekly edition. Her extensive experience includes roles at major international and Arab media organizations. She served as a correspondent for MBC between Dubai and Cairo (1994-1999), Al Jazeera (1999-2003), and CNBC Arabiya (2003-2005). Subsequently, she became the senior business correspondent for Al Arabiya television until 2009. Elhadidy transitioned to hosting with the program "Etkalem" in 2005. Her success grew with influential talk shows like "Men Qalb Masr" on Nile Life and "Huna Al Asema" (Here is the Capital) on CBC, which became a leading political talk show in Egypt. Currently, she hosts "Kalima Akhera" (The Final Word) on ON channel, where she continues to address the most pressing Egyptian and regional issues.
