Marwa El Shafae is a prominent Egyptian chef and television host, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in home cooking in Egypt. Born in 1982, she graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, English section. Her culinary career began unconventionally; as a stay-at-home mother to three daughters, her desire to provide them with healthy, delicious alternatives to fast food motivated her to teach herself and refine her cooking skills using online resources. El Shafae's journey to fame started by sharing step-by-step photo recipes with friends on Facebook. Her approachable style quickly gained a large following, leading her to launch her popular page, "Cook & Eat Fel Baet," in 2015. Her social media success paved the way for television appearances, starting with a cooking segment on the show "Set El Hassan." In 2018, she began hosting her own program, "Akla Beety" (A Home-cooked Meal), on Al-Nahar TV, which focuses on simplifying recipes and encouraging mothers to prepare healthy, homemade meals. She currently resides in Cairo, Egypt.
