Riam Kafarneh is a Syrian actress, born in Damascus on September 17, 1995. She is the daughter of the renowned theater director and actor Hisham Kafarneh. Growing up in an artistic and cultural environment, she developed a passion for acting from a young age, participating in school and children's theater and attending acting workshops with the late artist Nidal Sigri. She honed her talent with academic study, enrolling at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus in 2012 and graduating in 2016. Kafarneh began her professional career in 2017 and quickly established herself as one of the most prominent young faces in Syrian drama. She has participated in numerous notable series, delivering diverse roles that showcase her acting abilities. Her key Syrian works include "Salasel Dahab" (Chains of Gold), "Al-Haramlek," "Chicago Street" (2020), "Souk Al-Harir" (The Silk Market), "Maa Waqf Al Tanfeeth" (With a Stay of Execution) (2022), and "Al Thaman" (The Price) (2023). Her career has expanded beyond Syria to include joint Arab productions and Egyptian drama, with a significant role in the series "Selat Rahem" (Ties of Kinship) (2024) alongside actor Eyad Nassar, and "Leaba W Alabet Begad" with actor Ahmed Zaher.
