Saad Lamjarred is a prominent Moroccan pop singer, songwriter, and record producer, widely regarded as one of the biggest stars in the Arab music world. Born on April 7, 1985, in Rabat, he grew up in an artistic family; his father is the classical singer Bachir Abdou and his mother is the actress Nezha Regragui, which nurtured his talent from a young age. He studied music and dance at the Conservatory of Music in Rabat before moving to the United States. His major breakthrough came in 2007 when he secured second place in the popular talent show "Super Star." Lamjarred rose to prominence with his 2013 album "Wala Aalik," particularly the hit song "Enty," which earned him a Murex d'Or award. However, it was his 2015 single "Lm3allem" that became a cultural phenomenon, breaking records to become the first Arabic song to surpass one billion views on YouTube. His success has been instrumental in popularizing the Moroccan dialect (Darija) across the Arab world. In addition to his music career, Lamjarred ventured into acting with a leading role in the 2011 Moroccan soap opera "Ahlam Nassim." He is also known for his high-profile collaborations with international and Arab artists, including Indian actress Jennifer Winget in the music video "Guli Mata," Egyptian star Mohamed Ramadan on the track "Ensay," and Lebanese singer Elissa on the duet "Min Awel Dekika."
