Saleh Zighari is a Palestinian content creator, photographer, and YouTuber from Jerusalem, born in the town of Beit Hanina. His content primarily focuses on documenting daily life in Palestine and highlighting issues related to Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, aiming to convey an authentic picture of the Palestinian reality to his global audience. Zighari grew up in a media-oriented environment; his father, Khaled Zighari, is a producer and photographer who covered the First and Second Intifadas, which inspired Saleh and shaped his talent in photography and media from a young age. His passion for photography began early, holding his first photo exhibition while still a school student. He later studied filmmaking at Dar Al-Kalima University in Bethlehem. Zighari utilizes his platforms on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to share videos and photos that showcase the city's cultural and religious heritage, as well as cover current events. His activism has not been without challenges; he has been arrested multiple times by Israeli authorities due to his social media content, most notably in 2016 when he was sentenced to eight months in prison on charges of incitement.
