Anne Salah is an Iraqi journalist and television presenter, born in Baghdad on November 26, 1987, to a Kurdish father and an Arab mother. She earned her bachelor's degree in Media from the University of Baghdad in 2011. Salah began her career in print journalism in 2010, working for several Iraqi newspapers, most notably Al-Sabah, which is part of the Iraqi Media Network. She then transitioned to broadcast media, joining the Al-Iraqiya channel. Over eight years, she served as a news correspondent and hosted numerous popular programs, including "Sabah Al-Iraqiya" (Iraqi Morning), "Ant Al-Rabih" (You're the Winner), and "Al-Nisf Al-Akhar" (The Other Half). She gained recognition for her field reporting, particularly during the battle to liberate Mosul. In addition to her work on social and entertainment shows like "Kharj Al-Sirb" (Outside the Flock), Salah has distinguished herself as a host of hard-hitting political talk shows. Her program "Wahed Siyasa" (One Politics) on Al-Dawla TV featured interviews with prominent political figures to discuss critical issues in Iraq. She has faced professional challenges, including her dismissal from the Iraqi Media Network in March 2024 following a social media post criticizing the high cost of living. She is known for her bold interviewing style and is a board member of the Iraqi Women Journalists Forum.
