Hussain Al Jassmi, a prominent Emirati artist and composer, was born in Khorfakkan, Sharjah, on August 25, 1979. His passion for music began early, leading him to form the band "Ferkat al-Khaleej" with his brothers to perform at local events. His official career breakthrough came at age 17 when he won first place in a talent competition during the Dubai Shopping Festival. This victory captured the attention of Rotana, which produced his debut album in 2002. The album was a major success, launching hit singles like "Bawada'ak" and "Wallah Mayiswa." Al Jassmi is distinguished by his ability to perform in various Arabic dialects, which has earned him a vast fanbase across the Arab world. His 2014 song, "Boshret Kheir," is one of his most iconic and widespread works, achieving phenomenal success in Egypt and beyond. Alongside his artistic career, Al Jassmi is known for his deep humanitarian commitment. He serves as an Extraordinary Goodwill Ambassador and has led numerous initiatives supporting refugees, education, and other causes in collaboration with organizations like the Emirates Red Crescent and the United Nations.
