Jihan Abdulazim is a Syrian actress born in Aleppo on February 18, 1976. She began her artistic journey at a young age, participating in folk dance performances at the Syrian Song Festival. Her official acting debut came in 1993 after moving to Damascus, with a role in the series "Al-Juthour La Tamout" (The Roots Do Not Die). Since then, she has established herself as one of the most prominent stars in Syrian drama, delivering a variety of memorable roles. Abdulazim is known for her ability to portray complex characters, and her role in the 2005 series "Ashwak Na'ema" (Soft Thorns), directed by Rasha Sharbatji, was a major turning point in her career. Her notable works also include "Seerat Al Jalali," "Ghezlan Fi Ghabat Al Zi'ab," both parts of "Al-Dabour," and "Ayam Al Dirasa." After marrying Egyptian writer Iyad Ibrahim in 2016, she moved to Egypt and participated in Egyptian dramas such as "Quloub" and "Zawaj Bel Ikrah." In April 2020, Abdulazim announced a temporary retirement from acting to focus on her family life. However, she announced her return to the screen in 2022, expressing her longing for her profession. She separated from her husband in September 2022. Despite her temporary hiatus, she has maintained a strong connection with her audience through social media.
