Maxim Khalil is a prominent Syrian actor, born in Homs to a Syrian father and a Russian mother, which granted him dual Syrian and Russian citizenship. He began his artistic journey with a unique background in ballet, becoming one of the first professional male ballet dancers in Syria and completing his studies in 1999. Before fully dedicating himself to acting, he gained behind-the-scenes experience working as an assistant director on series like "Al baher Al ayob" (1998). Khalil's professional acting career launched in 2000, and he quickly rose to become one of the most significant stars in Syrian and Arab drama. He has appeared in over 70 television series, showcasing his versatility in roles. His notable works include "Al-Taghreba al-Falastenya" (2004), "Zaman Al'ar" (2009), "Takht Sharqi" (2010), and "Wiladah Min Al-Khasira" (2011). He achieved widespread pan-Arab fame for his leading role in the popular series "Ruby" (2012) alongside Cyrine Abdel Nour. His portfolio includes major pan-Arab and international productions such as the Netflix series "The Platform" (2020), "Awlad Adam" (2020), and "Ebtasem Ayoha El General" (2023).
