Nedaa Shrara, full name Nedaa Nimer Abu Shrara, is a Jordanian singer, composer, and songwriter born in Amman on December 28, 1993. She rose to prominence across the Arab world after winning the title of the third season of the talent show "The Voice: Ahla Sawt" in 2015, becoming the first contestant wearing a hijab to win the Arabic version of the competition, under the mentorship of Egyptian artist Sherine Abdel-Wahab. Before her television breakthrough, Shrara worked as a teacher for children with special needs, holding a diploma in Special Education. Her early artistic journey began with the Ammoun Troupe for Heritage and Arts, participating in local events like the Jordanian Song Festival. Following her win, she launched a successful professional career, releasing her debut album "Baadou Etrak" in 2018 and numerous hit singles, including "Sahrana Ana," "Habbaytak Bel Thalata," and "Qalahali." She has also gained recognition for composing and performing theme songs for television series, such as "Haddouta Manseya" (2024). Nedaa is known for her powerful Tarab-style vocals, her talent for writing and composing her own music, and her commitment to humanitarian causes, having launched the "Nedaa's Hope" initiative to support individuals with special needs.
