Ameen Khattab, full name Ameen Hussein Ameen Hassan Khattab, is an Egyptian Mahraganat and Shaabi singer born on December 21, 1998, in Giza, Egypt. Known in the music scene by his nickname "El Qatr" (The Train), he has emerged as one of the influential young voices in modern Egyptian popular music. Before pursuing a full-time music career, Khattab worked various jobs, including as a painter and a cheese chef in a supermarket. He officially began his artistic journey around 2019, gaining significant fame through YouTube, where he started posting in 2021. His music is characterized by a blend of fast-paced popular rhythms with lyrics that address social and emotional issues faced by youth, which has earned him a large fanbase. Some of his most successful tracks include "Salamat Ala Nas Amaloly Ekhwat," "Ya Gamilty Ya Amirty," and "Qalbi Muhareb." He has collaborated with several other Mahraganat stars such as Essam Sasa, Ahmed Moza, and Tata Elnoby.
