Carmen Essam Soliman, born on October 7, 1994, is a prominent Egyptian singer and actress. Her artistic talent was evident from a young age, earning her the Supreme Council of Culture award for the best voice under the age of sixteen. Her professional career launched spectacularly after she won the inaugural season of the popular talent show "Arab Idol" on MBC on March 24, 2012, becoming the first-ever winner of the title in the Arab world. Following her victory, she signed a recording contract with Platinum Records. Soliman released her debut single, "Kalam Kalam," on March 4, 2013, which quickly became a hit and topped music charts. This was followed by her first full-length album, "Akhbari," in early 2014, featuring 12 diverse tracks. Her career has since expanded beyond music into acting. She made her acting debut in the sixth part of the acclaimed series "Layali El Helmeya" in 2016 and also starred in the play "Yama Fi El Grrab Ya Hawy" in 2021. Additionally, she made a mark in animation by providing the singing voice for the titular character in the Arabic-dubbed version of Disney's hit film "Moana." She holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from the International Higher Institute for Media at Al Shorouk Academy.
