Mohamed Mahmoud Mostafa, professionally known as Hamo Bika, is an Egyptian Mahraganat singer and entrepreneur, considered one of the most prominent figures in the Mahraganat music scene in Egypt and the Arab world. Born on July 18, 1988, in the Dekheila district of Alexandria, he grew up in a working-class neighborhood that influenced his artistic style. Before his fame, Bika worked various jobs, including as a butcher, a fact he has mentioned in several interviews, and did not complete his formal education. His artistic career began around 2016, gaining widespread popularity through social media platforms and YouTube. The song "Rab El Kon Mezzana B Meza" (The Lord of the Universe Gave Us an Advantage) was a turning point in his career, achieving massive public success and cementing his name in the Mahraganat genre. Bika is known for his spontaneous style and distinctive voice, and has collaborated with other notable artists in the field like Hassan Shakosh and Omar Kamal. Bika has faced significant challenges with the Egyptian Musicians' Syndicate, entering into well-publicized disputes with former head Hany Shaker and current head Mostafa Kamel, which led to multiple performance bans and penalties. Despite these obstacles, he has continued to release songs that garner millions of views. Alongside his music career, Bika has ventured into business, launching his own restaurant chain called "Sandwich Bika."
