Jiana George Aneed is a distinguished young Syrian actress who has made a significant impact in theater, television, and film. Born in Damascus, she is the daughter of artist George Aneed. She began her artistic journey in amateur theater, where her talent quickly garnered attention. This early success motivated her to pursue formal training at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus, from which she graduated in 2012. Her graduation project was the play "Waiting for the Rain," directed by Samer Omran. Aneed made her television debut in 2008 with a role in the series "Ahl Al-Raya." However, her major breakthrough came with more complex roles, such as in the series "Chiffon" (2011) directed by Najdat Anzour, and "Ha'irat" (2013), which she considers her true starting point. She is widely known for her dedication and bold approach to her characters, most notably shaving her head completely for the role of "Khadija" in the historical drama "Khatoon" (2016-2017), a decision that earned her critical and public acclaim. Her diverse filmography includes popular period dramas like "Atr Al-Sham" and "Warda Shamia," as well as contemporary social dramas like "Al Nadam" and "An Interview with Mr. Adam." In cinema, she has appeared in films such as "A Ladder to Damascus" (2013) and "The Road of the Bees" (2017).
