About Mohamad Al Ahmad

Mohamad Al Ahmad is a prominent Syrian actor, born on February 27, 1979, in Homs, with family origins in Masyaf. He is considered one of the leading stars in Syrian and Arab drama, distinguished by his ability to portray complex and layered characters. Before his acting career, he studied Arabic Literature at Al-Baath University, after which he enrolled in the Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts in Damascus, graduating in 2005. He is the brother of fellow actor Ahmad Al-Ahmad. Al Ahmad's professional journey began in 2002 with a role in the series "Holako." Since then, he has built an extensive filmography in television and cinema, showcasing his versatility across dramatic, social, and psychological roles. His early notable works include "Ashya' Tushbih Al-Hub" (2007), "Yawm Momter Akhar" (2008), and "Al-Masabeeh Al-Zurq" (2012). In recent years, he has gained widespread acclaim across the Arab world for his leading roles in popular pan-Arab series such as "Arous Beirut" (Bride of Beirut) in its three seasons, where he played 'Adam', the thriller series "Lel Maout" (For Death) as 'Hadi', and "2024" as 'Louay Al Deeb'. His performances in series like "Mokabala Maa Al Sayed Adam" and "Al Hujra" have further cemented his status as an exceptional talent.

In 2022, he won the Murex d'Or award for Best Arab Actor for his performances in the series "Lel Maout 2" (For Death 2) and "Arous Beirut 3" (Bride of Beirut 3), a major acknowledgment of his talent in the Arab entertainment industry. In cinema, he has had notable collaborations with director Joud Said on important films that have marked modern Syrian cinema. His most prominent film roles include "Matar Homs" (Homs Rain) (2017) and "Rajul wa Thalathat Ayam" (A Man and Three Days) (2016). For his role in the latter, he won the Best Actor Award at the Alexandria Film Festival for Mediterranean Countries in 2017.

Education

He studied Arabic Literature at Al-Baath University in Syria, then attended the Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts in Damascus, from which he graduated in 2005.
