Sami Shamsi is a Syrian-American singer and songwriter, born in Aleppo on November 15, 1990. He is known for blending contemporary Arabic pop with traditional Eastern melodies, creating music that tells stories of love, nostalgia, and the human experience. His artistic journey began at age sixteen when he was discovered and mentored by musician Nehad Najjar. A pivotal moment in his career was winning the third season of the televised talent show "Ghani with Ghassan Rahbbani" in Lebanon in 2011. Following this success, he moved to Beirut to further his studies at an art institute. Shamsi's work often explores themes of love, longing, and life away from home.
