Aseel Karim Hameem, born in Baghdad on October 6, 1984, is a prominent Iraqi singer and artist. Raised in a highly artistic family, she is the daughter of the renowned Iraqi musician and composer Karim Hameem, who played a crucial role in nurturing and guiding her musical talent from a young age. Her professional career began at the age of twenty-two with her participation in the MBC talent show "Nujoom Al Arab" (Arab Stars), which served as her launching pad to fame across the Arab world. Following her appearance on the show, Hameem released her debut single, "Balani Zamani," which introduced her to a broad audience. Her career is distinguished by its versatility, as she performs in both the Iraqi and Khaleeji (Gulf) dialects and excels in romantic and patriotic songs alike. Early in her journey, she was signed by artist Rashed Al Majed but later chose to pursue an independent path to have greater creative freedom. Hameem has released numerous successful tracks, most notably "Ser Alhayah," which broke YouTube streaming records. She has also made a significant mark in the television industry by performing the theme songs for several popular series, including "Shar Al Nufous" and "Hawa Baghdad."
