Ayten Amer, born Samar Ahmed Abd El Ghaffar Amer in Alexandria, is a prominent Egyptian actress and singer. She is the younger sister of actress Wafaa Amer and moved to Cairo at the age of four. She honed her craft by studying acting and directing at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts. Before her acting career took off, she worked as a model, an experience that helped her overcome her initial fear of the camera. Amer's artistic journey began in 2004 with a minor role in the series "Melh Al-Ard" (Salt of the Earth) alongside Mohamed Sobhy. However, her breakthrough role came in 2006 in the TV series "Hadret El Motaham Aby" (Mr. Guilty is My Father), where she starred opposite the legendary actor Nour El-Sherif. This role catapulted her into the spotlight, leading to a prolific career in television and film. Her notable TV credits include all three seasons of "Al-Dali," both parts of "Keed El-Nesa," "El Zowga El Raba'a" (The Fourth Wife), "Elsabaa Wasaya" (The Seven Commandments), and "Ayoub."
