Saif Mahdi Amer, known professionally as Saif Amer, is a prominent Iraqi composer, singer, and pianist, born on January 17, 1986. He officially began his artistic career in 2013 and quickly established himself as a leading talent in the Arab music scene. Amer is recognized for his ability to blend authentic oriental melodies with modern musical arrangements, often creating works with a romantic and melancholic character. Amer started primarily as a composer, a field he considers the core of his artistic identity, before venturing into singing. He gained widespread fame with a series of successful songs, most notably "Ma Baya Hell," "Habibi Ya," and "Warqa," the title track of his debut album released in 2019. His song "Mawjou' Galbi" marked a significant turning point in his career, achieving international acclaim and being covered in multiple languages, solidifying his global presence. In addition to his solo work, Saif Amer has excelled in composing music and theme songs for numerous television series, including "Banat Salih" (2022), "Almas Maksoor" (222), "Umm Badila" (2021), and "Dihen Horr" (2023). He has also collaborated with several notable Arab artists, such as Nasrat Al Badr and Hussam Kamil. Amer is the father of two sons, Reda and Zakaria.
