Taim Hasan, born on February 17, 1976, in Al-Shaykh Badr, Tartus, is a prominent Syrian actor considered one of the leading stars in the Arab world. He moved with his family to Damascus at the age of four. Before pursuing acting, he studied law for two years by correspondence in Lebanon. His passion for performance led him to apply to the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus, where he was accepted on his second attempt and graduated in 2001. His career was significantly launched through his collaboration with the late director Hatem Ali, who cast him in major historical series like "Saladin" (2001), "Rabee' Qortoba" (2003), and "The Palestinian Alienation" (2004), which solidified his status as a formidable actor. Hasan continued to take on diverse and complex characters, including his acclaimed performance in "The Waiting" (2006) and as As'ad Al-Warraq. However, his portrayal of "Jabal Sheikh Al-Jabal" in the five-season saga "Al Hayba" (2017–2021) became an icon of modern Arab drama, achieving unprecedented public success and culminating in a feature film. His more recent notable works include "Al Zind: The Wolf of Al Assi" (2023) and "Taj" (2024), where he continues to excel in complex historical and dramatic roles.
